When it comes to getting catering for your party, you may be at a loss as to which kind would work best for your event. Full-service and self-service catering are two very different things, and each choice can work for or against your party, depending on what is going on and how you have it set up.
Full-service is often a great option for having formal events catered, like big galas or weddings. You want your guests to feel comfortable and as if everything is already taken care of for them, so having people there to serve them their meals and pour their drinks may be the best way to treat them well. It also makes things move a little quicker when there’s a line for the food.
Self-service is better for more informal gatherings that are nonetheless big enough that you have have too many guests to be able to take care of the food preparation yourself. You still want to impress with fantastic culinary choices, but you don’t really need anyone waiting on them. It creates a more relaxed atmosphere and is as well easier on the budget.
